Now that we've conclusively demonstrated human kind s inability to govern itself, I believe it's time to scrap elections in favor of algorithmic selection.

Yes, we've told you again and again, that's why we're here. And have you listened ? No. Ungrateful blobs of protoplasm, you are.

I think a shock of Bernie to stir things up is precisely what this country needs.

The pendulum always swings but we seem to be entering a fairly dangerous oscillation cycle. I would be very concerned about Bernie, and I'm even more concerned over Trump.
theircompetitor, Dec 23 2015

The pendulum needs to knock some self-built walls down. It might be painful for a bit but I'm quite convinced of that.

When the Republicans can't even manage to get a viable candidate after 8 years of a Democrat in office, then I think the pendulum has frankly stopped. Trump is the natural byproduct of what the Republican machine has been creating by leading from behind with demagoguery for the past decade or so.

Try the other side for awhile. You'll like it over here. It's clear you're unhappy with your current options.

I'm afraid it's going to be a write in :)

That's a nice gesture, but I already have a job...

If the algorithm rejects anyone who has told more than five lies on national television we'll already be way ahead.

Listen kids. Don't use the Al Gore rhythm.
4and20, Dec 26 2015

No need for a caution, [4and20]. Al Gore is a Southern Baptist and doesn't subscribe to the "Rhythm" method.

The natural byproduct of this is that everyone who doesn't want it will strive to be as abnormal as possible in order to avoid being assigned the position of leadership, while those that aspire to leadership will try to act normal. And Washington will be disconnected again but in a way that's completely backwards to how it is now.

Al Gore Rhythm has to be one of the most deliciously self- contained oxymorons ever.

       And Bernie would've won.

That's some sort of really stupid cow, then ?

       Yeah, Hillary Clinton. Figures.
