Take a 3d electron micrograph scan of a virus wall like the mumps virus. in 3d design software, cut a block out of the scan so that the block has 5 smooth sides and one viral wall side. Then you can build with them and your buildings will have viral walls.

The great thing about all of the 3d prints of viral structures that I have worked with and this goes for bones and other organic structures, is that they fit your hand so well, almost scarily well, as if just the shape of the viral wall is trying to suck your fingers into its internal structure. They would make great handles. But a wall made of them, you would have to experiment with the scale, would be an inviting hand hold but also be regular enough to allow people to boiunce off it lke a wall.
