Vintage Control Panels Game

Here's your control panel, after a brief overview of what all the controls do, complete the following tasks: go.

Vintage control panels are beautiful. One wonders how long it might take to understand and use them all properly if you were called to do so.

Well this makes it a game. A random control panel pops up and you get walked through all the controls. The example is a B-36. After the condensed lesson, you're given a task, for instance: "Engine number 3 is on fire, what do you do?"

If you paid attention, you'd know where the controls were to feather the engine, trigger the fire extinguisher system, adjust the other engines if you're the pilot and basically not die. There's a timer and a real time evaluation of the situation. For instance: "The fire is out, the wing didn't burn off and you're flying stability has been restored. Time 1:23, score 98." or "You're all dead: score 12."

These are flight simulators that are no doubt quite common, but I assume they're made for specific systems and not freely available on the web for hobbyists and gamers and certainly not where you can deal with issues affecting a Curtiss NC-4 flying boat or the Apollo 13 command module.

ADDENDUM: Plus the whole thing blows up if you fail.

[-] if it is only implemented in software with on-screen images of the controls.

[+] if a detailed explanation of how it could be implemented in hardware is given.

       Easy:

       1- Use science and technology

2- Go and celebrate the success with a ham sandwich and a donut for dessert.

//how it could be implemented in hardware//

Lean into 3D printing, [dr3]. The 3D printing is, of course, driven by software, but don't mention that part to [poc].

How about a big screen touch screen? I’d settle for that.

Maybe be two for a wrap around effect.
