Van Der Graff Generator Bowler Hat is exactly as
described - ie a hat that has a built in Van Der Graff
Generator - a very powerful one capable of creating a
substantial charge. (I'm actually surprised this doesn't
appear to already exist, even on the halfbakery)
Its motor is contained within
the bowler part, with the
belt ascending above the head terminating in the usual
silvery sphere. The battery to power the motor is
carried in a small back pack.
The entire arrangement is complimented with the
discharging wand that you can raise up and wave around
when you want, causing a massive static electricity spark
to be emitted from the silver ball above your head.
Van Der Graff Generator Bowler Hat has few practical
functions but should ensure safe passage through hostile
crowds and also deter attacking seagulls when you're
eating a bag of chips at the seaside.
What Ray was referring to.

Incorrect; we can envisage at least five, straight away, and there are doubtless many others. |

A few bolts should be enough to strongly encourage people
to respect your personal 2m space. |

[+] Thinking a variation of this could be hooked up to
a
couple's wedding rings so when they move their rings
together sparks could fly between them literally. It
might make the ceremony a bit more exciting. |

Creating a static field will energize Covid-infected airborne
particles, drawing them to you. Now, I'm not one of those
virus-botherers who worries overmuch about that sort of
thing, but if you are, then maybe you ought to rethink your
definition of "safe passage". |

Everyone knows that those aren't clouds of

there, just biding it's time... |

Even your sun is ill with it now- haven't you heard of the solar corona ? |

The solar wind was bad enough. What the forthcoming solar flatulence might be like is a horror for which your world is not yet ready. |
