Inspired by Loris's idea.
Having the TV pointed end be wide and the hand held end be narrow would eliminate having to flip it around because you picked it up wrong. The bottom would be round and the top with the buttons would be flat so you'd know which side was the top as well.
The narrow end
would have the buttons you use the most being accessible with the thumb and the less used buttons towards the top/front end.
