A USB webcam for notebooks that has two imaging elements pointing in opposite directions.

Works with any standard video calling client.

Selectable between Front cam/Back cam/Widescreen split-screen/ PIP, all done in the cam's CPU so that it provides a single "standard" 1024 x 768 video stream. Show your caller both your own image, and/or whatver's in front of you; switch between single and composite views at the click of a mouse. No need to fiddle with the camera once you've aimed it.

Annotation:

So, maybe the back cam could be focused on an HD movie portrayal of the Hindenburg disaster, while the front cam superimposes me into the foreground; then I could send the video clip to my workplace manager as a reason why I will be late today? Not for real, I mean, I'm just saying... uh, bun. [+]

       They don't have this yet?

       Apparently not.

Wouldn't the manager be suspicious that your life had suddenly gone monochrome and scratchy?

[Grogster] you'll get a pink slip (or P45), bearing the annotation "Oh, the humanity!"

Perhaps I should hold up a sign that says, "...it wasn't me..." (ala favorite line of the main character in the movie RocketMan)
