This is a single-player visualization game, intended to expand one's mind and promote creative thinking. Looking at a sock in your drawer you see a well ordered pattern of colors and textures; turn it inside out and you will likely see a jumble of interesting patterns, textures, loose threads, and unintended
consequences. Imagine turning inside out any other object around you. A laptop computer is smooth and shiny on the outside, and is surrounded by air. Mentally turn it inside out so all the circuitry and components are now inverted relative to the former outer surface. Now inside is only the keyboard (making it a little hard to type), the screen images (hard to see, but that is not our point here) and a thin pocket of air. Turn a clothing dresser inside out: all the clothes are now hanging out into the room, making them more easily accessible to the discerning dresser (the person that is). Now turn the Earth inside out: All the rocks, oil deposits, dead dinosaurs, magma, etc., go to the outside, and the buildings, trees and people go into the inside. Cozy in there. Maybe we could all learn to get along.

Very cool. I think this kind of weirdness all the time. Here's one for you; As a kid I would play with the concept that all of the colors we see around us are illusion. A leaf is absorbing all of the light in the spectrum other than what we see as green. The leaf is 'not' green, it totally rejects green, and so it is really every color but green. Sometimes I'll try visualizing my surroundings in their 'actual' colors. |

As you can tell, sometimes I get really bored. (+) |

I also thought (and still think) of the "actual color" issue that you describe. Weird minds think alike. |

I do seem to recollect one Goon Show episode where they climb a mountain from the inside, because the weather was too bad. Does that count |

This is... I can't come up with any snappy banter to
describe how fascinating I find this idea. |

I just read a short story that, while the structural elements and some of the content were interesting, sucked. Likewise, in both architecture and music some composers like to show off the scaffolding. Those practices can be said to be "inside out". |

Very cool. The only contribution i can think of is to ask what
objects couldn't be turned inside out. So far i can only think of
ball bearings. |

Please don't turn people inside out, there are some wobbly bits that could prove to be trip hazards. |

As a kid I would open the front door and step outside, realising that I was now outside. Then I would step back inside and realise that I was back inside. Then I would put one foot over the threshhold leaving the other foot inside. Then I pondered wether I was outside or inside, neither or both. Noone coeld ever understand the inside outside game but it kept me amused and so does this idea. |

^ so you're actually a cat, right ? |

Moebius strip. How would you know if you'd turned it inside out or not? |

I had forgotten that bit by Douglas Adams <link>
