Driver wants the wind to caress his face, but passenger just got
her hair done? Back seat got a baby in it, but mommy and daddy
in the front seat still want to look cool? No problemo! A
personalized convertible, custom made for your families needs.
A convertible car roof that is split in half,
or quarters, and can be
moved easily into position, depending on who is in the car.
Never again do you have to forgo your comfort, just to please
those damn whiny kids. Everyone gets their top up, just the way
they want it. Yay!

I can't believe this isn't a thing. (+) |

It came to me in a dream last night. But it was only divided
in half lengthwise. So I took it to the next level, of course. |

Well, the buffeting would come in through any open sides
anyway, unless you'd planned a completely closed
compartment for each person. Convertibles with four seats
already offer lot of air control, for example many have a
screen that raises behind the front seats, as much of the
buffeting "rolls" off the windscreen and comes in behind. I've
never been in the back of a 4 seat convertible though, so I
can' t comment on that. Sitting in the back of a 4 seat
convertible does give one an image unfortunately
reminiscent of Hitler. |

I used to drive a Nissan Pulsar T-Top which allowed separate roofing choices for the driver and passenger. |

You could achieve the same effect by having two separate
cars... Or a car and a motorbike. |

Indeed. Martin-Baker would be your friend on this one. |

Troublesome passenger ? BOOM ... one thousand, two thousand, three thousand, check canopy .... <thud> |

And it's a standard fitment on a particular variant of the Aston-Martin DB5 ... doubleplusgood. |
