Why not imagine it in a way that works?

I got this idea from reading the Cardboard Laptop.

We have projectors for PC. They are getting pretty small. But what if you only wanted to project right in front of you (like onto 8.5x11 notebook paper)? The projector could then be as small as a PDA. In fact, it could be a display extension for your PDA.

This would be great for traveling light. Want to work on that report while flying to NY? Pull your projector and expandable keyboard out of your shirt pocket and start working.

The cardboard laptop idea suggested the use of lasers. But that would likely not be color. Projector technology is here today and high resolution and in color. [newt, Apr 09 2005]
