Tick Tack
Moving a sawed off canoe through the water with a motion like click clacking a skateboard | |
The Tick Tack is a sawed off canoe that allows the user to stand
and
use
the skateboard-click-clacking motion to propel the vessel across
the water. This might be aided by using some weights at the ends
of A spring to add to the energy storing capability, and a long and
flexible
skeg/back
rudder.

//click clacking motion// is a side to side sway of the legs/board with the upper body relatively stationary, yes ? won't work: between the size of the board required for flotation, and stiction... |

This idea came from an old film of someone doing canoe
tricks
by standing on the tip of one end of a canoe and lifting the
other side
of the canoe out of the water to get it onto a dock. I figure
if you sawed off the canoe at about a
third you would have a length that you could reasonably
swing back and forth maybe with the help of some weights
on a spring and a long flexible rudder of the end of the
canoe. |
