The phone rings, four compressed air powered thruster jets (the air comes up the cord)fire up, lifting the phone off the hook and manouvering the handset to a pre programmed location. Sensors on the handset detect pressure when your hand grips the phone, the jets shut down, you grab the phone and talk
normally. When the call is completed you merely let go of the phone, the thrusters fire up and manouver the handset back into the cradle.
Have fun, throw the handset in any direction and see the thrusters jetting away to control attitude, yaw and bank until the handset is in the correct position to allow a smooth landing.

Almost certain that theres been a " throw phone into position idea round here before". But who cares this is cool. |

Ooh ooh... strap the handset to the back of a cat and.. |

Brings a whole new meaning to talking alot of hot air. |

|
I find that my ear gets hot enough as it is by the end of a lengthy conversation - I'd hate to think what it would be like if the bloody thing was hot to start with. |
|
|
It's not hot - the thrusters are powered by compressed air, which gets cooler on expansion. If anything, the handset will be coated with a layer of ice when you grab it. |

I remember in Top Gun when Maverick lost control of his F-14 after it got caught in the wake of another jet. Would this be the case for a rogue Thruster Jet Phone??? |

You could use this to play a game like air hockey, but in three dimensions. It would be best if the connection was made the minute the jets went on, so the telemarketer could yell "Hello? Hello? Mr Bungston?" THWACK! THWACK! |
