My third deployment (second combat deployment holding the (in)glorious title of "Halfbaker"), has come to an end.
I am state-side, safe and sound, and looking forward to resuming my activities as an ornery and cantankerous bastard on the HB.
If there was any orrery-like HB obsessions that have
come and gone in my absence, or any other happenstances a bourgeois baker such as myself should be aware of, please fill me in...

Out of the combat zone and back at the HB ready for
some real abuse eh? |
Welcome home - bake away... |
You didn't waste my luck vibes then. Good man. |
Unabubba also came back and left again. |
Welcome home. I suspect that both countries are
now slightly less safe than they were. |
[remulac3 M.D.], [norm], [blissy], [Mech], [SLEEP] thank you, thank you, thank you!!! |
Thanks so much, guys! I'm so happy to be back too. Mrs. MikeD is pretty excited, as well. Whoa, [rcarty], Unabubba's gone again??? |
[2 fries], your good luck vibes were recieved, packaged and saved for when I really needed them..... and I really needed them! |
[MB], an astute assesment. I must agree. |
Man, oh man. It's good to be back. |
seconding MB's sentiment -- welcome back, MikeD! |
It's great to hear that you're home safe, [MikeD]. Is your
son's tour up yet? |
Good to hear you're home fella. Hang up yer boots
and take a load off... |
Welcome back to the USA (though I clearly don't live there,
but am a frequent visitor) |
Funny, [xen]. With my deployment schedule I could say the same thing!!! |
If there are any cigar smokers out there, might I reccomend the Padron 1926. The tastiest celebratory cigar I've ever had. |
[21], I see your annotation... but where is your fish bone??? |
Man, oh man I missed you guys!!! |
And yes, I am in one piece.... physically AND mentally. I had a great tour, in fact I can proudly say everyone in my unit made it back outside of a coffin. |
Can you not make postings when 'out there'? Obviously not
duhhhhh.... |
//Man, oh man I missed you guys!!! // |
Dear gods, what have they put you through out
there?? |
//And yes, I am in one piece.... physically AND mentally// Well, then, you're not really fit for the HB, are you? Half of us are half-crazy and the rest are half sane! |
Welcome back, nonetheless! |
//Dear gods, what have they put you through out there??// |
I've suffered the tortures of the damned, sir. The tortures of the damned. |
I had intermitten internet access, [xen]. T'was the spare time to use it, I lacked. |
[21], on my way back through KAF, I found the AirForce MWR. The high-speed Wi-Fi rivaled state-side bandwidth! Given the opportunity to do it all over again, I'd still retain my manhood and join the Army. |
