There are three main subject-specific TV competition series produced in the UK:
The Great British bake-off
The great pottery throwdown
Strictly come dancing
I propose a series which combines all three in a triathlon of friendly televisual programming.
Every week would include a challenge
of each type. Sometimes the challenges could synergise. For example : * If they made a fancy plate, they could serve their food on it at the end.
* The pottery challenge could be about making as many frangible bisque-fired plates as possible to use in a traditional Greek dancing crockery-smashing session.
* Serving the judges cake using the medium of dance.

Approved, but needs an additional component as it's a bit sensible for me to be totally hakfbaked. |

Now that I think about it, the judges in some of these programmes manifest themselves as Siamese Daleks, and there may be something we can do here, to crank up the unease, to generate a queasy piquancy to leaven the cosy smarm: fuse together, using the usual Goldblumian teleporter, the corporeal forms of a judge from each of the constituent programmes, and this fused form can roll around like a squelchy flesh katamari, offering the competitors criticism or encouragement, depending on which head is nearest the boom mike. |
