This is a short play that would be performed at a railroad station. It would be performed identically every day during the same time period (e.g. between 9:00 and 9:30 AM). However, the scenes would take place in different locations around the train station (e.g. platform; ticket booth area; parking
lot).
Commuters (who generally take the train at the same time every day) would be able to watch different characters each morning. In this way, they would eventually be able to piece together the whole story and figure out what happened. Multiple viewings would be necessary since each character is concurrently "on stage" the whole time, but in different locations.
The actors would be distinctly dressed, and would enact arguments, post-mortems, dramatic scenes, situations with one crying on a cell phone, etc. but it wouldn't be clear exactly what had happened from any one piece of it. Sometimes one character would be running after another shouting "Honestly, she means nothing to me!" and the spectators would have to either run after them to find out the next scene, or else come back the next day and wait in the other location a minute later to catch the end of that scene.
These performances would be free, but they can possibly be funded by handing out flyers to the spectators as they get onto the train. These flyers can contain ads and sweepstakes to enter, or coupons for promotional gifts.
