Water sticks to glass pitchers and
glass coffee pots allowing liquids to
miss their intended targets. This
problem can
also occur with plastic and metal
pitchers at shallower angles.

I think it would introduce an even greater proclivity for the liquid to adhere to the lip than a rough surface. |
|
|
If that's the case, bristolz, wouldn't chewing tobacco & it's associated "juice" be even likelier to stick to a pitcher's lips? |

Glass ewers have no lips. So, no. |

I've seen a baseball pitcher named Glass, and I distinctly recall that he had lips. So, yes. |
|

I've heard of pitchers with glass elbows, but not glass lips. |

But getting back to the idea, if the problem also occurs with plastic pitchers, then teflon ain't gonna help on the glass ones. |
