Like the softserve ice cream machine that offers vanilla, chocolate, or "twist" flavors, how about a four chanber machine that holds taco meat, cheese, lettuce, and salsa. Then the user could pull the lever and fill the taco shell in one smooth gesture, leaving a fun little flip-point on top.

http://pub12.ezboar...e?topicID=497.topic "a multi-compartmented container arrangement which is adapted for the separated stowage and dispensing of a plurality of different kinds of foodstuffs or items which are adapted to be carried in a discretely tiered and compartmented relationship within the container" - it's either a multi-way food dispenser or the box you serve it in. Kinda hard to tell. [DrCurry, Oct 17 2004]

<Homer-esque> Mmmmmmm, tacos <Homer-esque>. |

But seriously, good idea in principle. Have you thought about the storage temperatures of the ingredients, cleaning requirements and possible buyers of such a machine? I can't imagine the average family using it unless they eat _lots_ of tacos. |
I've also got concerns about the method of feeding lettuce through a hole at a constant rate....and cheese (don't you dare suggest aerosol cheese or I shall have to rant about processed food). |
It wouldn't be tough to convince me that a certain quasi-Mexican fast food purveyor has already looked in to this. |
will it be availiable in britain, coz it really pisses me off that Taco Bell isn't regardless of the fact that they aren't really as good as a proper taco. |
Doesn't Taco Bell squish taco "meat" out of a tube? I'm sure they at least do that with the cheese & sour cream. Lettuce is still sprinkled the old-fashioned way. |

Last time i went to a 'Tacky Bell end' i dropped my tray on the floor,i could see exactly what was in my berita or what ever they call those things,it looked better on the floor rather than in me. |

Do you really want things that were originally the consistency of bovines or plants to end up with the consistency of yogurt? I usually throw my lettuce away when it gets like that. |
As halfbaked ideas go, this is a good one. Maybe an optional fifth chamber with guacamole? |
Oh, and [ticboy], I think you're supposed to describe your tic. |
I dunno from the gobbledygook, but Taco Bell might have beaten you to it. (Can't find a picture to make sure.) |
Pace bristolz, if you put only the cold things (cheese, lettuce, salsa and guacamole) in the machine, you could just use a regular ice cream machine. Though you would have to purée the lettuce. And use Cheese Whiz. |
P.S. Don't expect my custom, but Taco Bell might well want to talk to you if that thing in the link *is* only a cardboard box. |

Nice job, ticboy, a really good first post. Welcome. |

Still can't figure out what it is... |
