I propose a small gutter that is attached to the lower side of your sweatband that curves such that excess sweat squeezed from the sweat band is directed away from your face and eyes thus preventing sweat from running in your eyes or onto your glasses.

Then add a recirculating pump that sprays it out again as mist upon your crown.

Pack the sweat band with ammonium nitrate. It has a positive enthalpy of solution. Potassium chlorate is even better.

A thicker sweatband will allow the absorption of more water, as well as allow the outer surface to evaporate water, preventing the run-off effect.

Cedar Park; That has not been my experience as I work construction type work and when it is really hot and humid a sweat band simply cant keep up.

Perhaps you've not found a sweatband that's as thick as a rolled-up beach towel...
