Streetview Live 2
Live realtime cameras clearly marked in street view allowing you to click on them to see their live feeds | |
They have to already do this right?
You'd be virtually driving down the street and see the
eyeball
symbol on a street lamp or corner of a building. You'd click
on
it to see the live cameras feed allowing a real time view of
whatever is going on.
To pay for this, businesses that are supplying
the cameras
and
paying for their connection to the internet would have adds
underneath the screen showing the live action. "This view
of
Piccadilly Circus brought to you by Rentisham's Traditional
Flenting Wax", that sort of thing.
There would be little flags with eyeball symbols off on the
horizon so you could see them from a distance without
having
to zoom out.
Again, they have to be doing this already right?

I'm afraid not, [doc]. It is true that Rentisham's
has recently entered the Internet Era, but in a
notably discreet and toned-down fashion. Boffo
dislikes the idea of moving images, and
particularly those in colour, which seems to be all
the rage these days. |
|
|
He is also horrified by the idea of public cameras,
since one has no control over the sort of chap who
might stroll into the field of view. Given the
increasing and worrying tendency of gentlemen to
go about without hats these days, there is an
unacceptable risk of improperly dressed passers by
offending viewers of delicate sensibilities. |

//Apps allowing you to click on a traffic or weather
cam on a map and view live footage through it have
been around for years.// |
|
|
I know that but is there something where you are in
Google Street View and you can click on a position to
get a real time view of where you are? |
|

//so-called 'snapback' hats// What on earth is a
'snapback' hat?? |
|
|
Ah - I have just Googled, and I am appalled. I also
fail to see the point of them. My head size is
unlikely to change over time, so what possible
reason could my hatmaker have for making my hat
adjustable? |
|
|
M'lud, if you have some time I must introduce you to a
subspecies of Homo Sapiens Americanus known as the
Redneck...well, there really isn't time, but suffice to say
that they're like the Welsh but bafflingly indignant about it;
anyhow, my point is that one of the remarkable
peculiarities of Redneck physiology is how, as they mature
and as a result of pork rind overconsumption, the dominant
bulls develop pronounced fat deposits on the back of the
neck and the nape, resulting in cranial circumference
expansion and thus necessitating adjustable hat bands. |
|
|
Personally, I blame JFK for the rise of male hatlessness.
When he took his oath of office he set a horrific precedent
from which we may never recover. |
|
|
That is why my stable of hats has grown to quite a
respectable stature over the years. That and I like to wear
hats. |
|
|
What kind of deviant low-life even knows what T-shirt and basketball shorts are? |
|
|
M'Lud Buchanan has a small breeding colony of such creatures in a
reserve on one of his estates. Getting them to wear such garments
was a major achievement by the keepers, and a vast improvement
over their previous appearance. |

Nice. But, ads would be better targeted if they
know more about the viewer, than the location of
the camera. |
|
|
For instance, if I like pizza, a pizza ad can generate
more revenue, since I can buy that now, but can't
travel to that location far away that I'm viewing. |
|
|
The camera owner would get some commission on
the clicked ad though. |
|
|
1) Drip out a tiny stream of cash (or bitcoins), so
that people in view can collect their fair piece of the
ad revenue, as they are the content creators! |
|
|
2) Be required to display the video feed right next
to the camera, so people in view know what's going
on. |
