Street Cleaning Marching Band parades regularly down every main city street sweeping up every single piece of litter as they go.
Like a blend of cheerleaders, a marching band, and traditional street sweepers, they exercise synchronised military style perfection as they deploy their stiff bristled
brushes to scrub the roads and sidewalks to perfection.
Periodically they pause to carry out elaborate brush twirling drills as another companion team picks up all of the items they have carefully brushed into perfect heaps, ready for subsequent sorting and where possible recycling.
Neighbourhoods are encouraged to organise competitions to establish who has the best street cleaning crew, with judges awarding points for precision, costumes, choreography, brush rhythm musicality, and of course the cleanliness of streets on completion of the parade.

Will this include chihuahuas ? An inverted tuba could be adapted into a useful chihuahua vacuum... |
The only problem I have with this is that you don't want to throw around functional brooms. You'll get dirt everywhere. Maybe ceremonial brooms in front with actual sweepers in the rear? |
//An inverted tuba could be adapted into a useful
chihuahua vacuum...// Indeed yes, or instead of a
leaf blower there could be a whole team of
chihuahua blowers, with a follow up lacrosse
netting team to catch them as they flew
harmlessly high into the air. |
It's coming to your street! ha |
There's nothing harmless about chihuahuas, and flying chihuahuas are even worse. What if a chihuahua flew into your ear and got stuck there ? Oh, the yapping ... |
Now we have to put a team on developing anti-chihuahua ear covers. See what you've done ? |
Nice - I like the idea of synchronised sweeping, and
slightly formalised cleaning actions, like in curling |

Stop it! Stop it! Youre going to resurrect old
memories of Dick Van Dyke, bad accents, and
dancing penguins! |
More like the mopping sequence (link) - ie in nifty
co-ordinated, matching uniforms. That Stomp are
unruly rabble compared to a well drilled marching
band. |
The horror ... the horror ... |
And of course D. van D.s "cockney" accent ... H.M. the Q. and Phil the Greek could make a better job of Pearly King and Queen than that, accent included. |
