Spectacle Lights

The lights are out, but not on your glasses!

You're sitting at home and all of a sudden the lights go out. You can't find a torch or candles to light the place up and you have no understanding what so ever of the workings of a fuse box...All you can do now is wait in the dark and sob quietly to your self until someone comes to rescue you from this minature hell. Unless of course you have "Spectacle Lights!"

These are small lights that are fitted to the outside rim of your glasses. A switch on one of the arms of the specs would turn them on and those tiny little laser pointer batteries (i'm not sure what they are called) are used to power the lights. These would be located at the end of the arms of the glasses and wiring would run up the arms to the lights located on the rim. The lights would have to point outwards making sure that no light is shone directly into the eye from the lights. They would probably have to be water proof, unless people like being fried around their eyes by electricity. These would be great for people like me who wear glasses and want to walk around with a torch at night, but don't want all the hoo-haa of actually holding a torch. Be great as a christmas present to for that special someone.

Nice link Shz, but i was thinking more a pair of glasses in which you wouldn't look like a tool wearing them. they just look like ordinary glasses but with the ability to light up

I thought this might be specs that light up when you whistle so you can find where you've put them in the dark.

How many cells were you planning on using? (Envisions bloke with normal looking glasses containing high powered lamps connected to large suitcase full of batteries).
