As part of the human race who need spectacles to see clearlly, life becomes tricky when you place your glasses down when talking a shower, swimming or other activites. As somtimes you cant see exactly where you left them. Like sonic keyfinders, where a whislte or clap sets they key fob rinning, you can easily have small little beeper embedded into the frames of the glasses so that never again will you be left in the blur or the dark.

This is doable and would sell like hot cakes. The only problem I see is your co-workers and friends figuring out how to trigger the signal and doing it while *BEEP* you're *OUCH! STOP THAT* wearing the glasses - so use a radio signal as the trigger, not clapping or whistling.

forget that. I used to have a keyring that then you whistle it would whislte back at you. this would be much better than the FOB.

(-) the idea description itself says that it is baked for keyfinder.

//the idea description itself says that it is baked for keyfinder//

The idea also says this is not a keyfinder...

I like the idea of using programmable voice-recongnition so you say something like "locate glasses" or "catapult earwax" or something and it will beep (or say "i'm over here!") but only if it recongnises your own voice.

As per above logic, I have another original idea - "Sonic Contact Lens". Should I post it separately ?

You could just ask the shower where they are. Or is the shower short-sighted too?

Those clip-ons are a little large, but this doesn't require nanotechnology, just design.

If you'd do this on a frame, you'd put the battery and speaker onto the part that goes over the ears. Battery on one side, speaker on the other. It would balance fairly well, without growing too heavy.

Could one use the lenses themselves as a resonating surface?

Maybe makers of small, audio-activated recording devices know something about how to build this.

Why the hell does the noise making have to come from the glasses? Why not build it into a glasses case? If I had to wear glasses I am sure that I would carry the case with me to protect my investment when not in use. No need to dorkify the glasses with some extra technology right?
