I sometimes get nostalgic for my old LP (vinyl) player and some recordings I owned that had places where the stylus would skip and repeat a section until one applied percussive maintenance (a quick fist bang to the side of the turntable.)
So I propose to equip a modern media player with a shock sensor,
and a random repeat function in intervals of 1.8 seconds, to evoke the RPM of a 33rpm record.
One would get the track back in groove with the aforementiond fist bang.
Optional surface noise is (I think) baked.
