I imagine this as a forklift truck, with a pressure switch on the lifting platform, and a camera with object ID software, and a pushing mechanism, and a map of the storage facility. |

|
You place a jar of pickled cabbage onto the plate. The pressure sensor detects the object. The camera looks at it and the image-recognition system parses the image and detects Jar => Label => Lettering => Pickeld Cabbage and passes that id to the map facility, which looks up Pickled Cabbage: Shelf 7, unit B. The machine drives to unit B, lifts the platform to height 7, and engages the pusher, which pushes the jar of pickled cabbage forward onto the shelf. |

Is that what you are imagining? |

Does this not already exist in automated warehouses? |

The idea needs to be fleshed out. |
