This like a leather horse saddle except its made for sharks. Its a shark saddle for humans to attempt shark riding.

Mounted around the shark torso in front of the Anterior Dorsal Fins and behind the Pectoral Fins.

You might just get away with this on a Basking Shark, which although very large is a harmless filter feeder.

Other species may well be significantly uncooperative, however.

If you can produce a video of your attempt to fit a saddle onto one of the less docile types, we will watch it with great interest, as no doubt will the coroner at your inquest.

Presumably you will be satisfied with a simple memorial service, as generally sharks don't leave enough bits to justify either interrment or cremation.

       Leather no, wetsuit material yes.

       Western, Aussie or English?

I remember a West Australian marine biologist on the radio once saying "I have no doubt it is possible to annoy a shark." Can't think why that just came to mind.

       He said "possible", not "advisable".

Remarkably reticent for an Aussie. Their normal reaction to any dangerous life-form is to poke it vigorously with a stick to see what it does ...

Funny, my daughter had me post an idea called shark rider.
She wanted to know if sharks had an open locked-jaw like alligators do if you tap their snouts with a stick after they've opened their mouth.

Check out some of the later links on that posting and you'll see that it might very well be possible to get a great-white to let you saddle it if you can get one to let you rub its nose just the right way.

... hmmm maybe we should focus on a shark massage-bot before fitting the saddles.

       Sorry shark rider(s).
