Imagine, if you will, a pair of single beds on a system of conveyor belts. At the push of a button, the beds will come together, turning this twin bedroom into a double bedroom. Hotels could use this to avoid having seperate twin and double rooms. It's also potentially useful in spare rooms which
might be used by different people, or for when you've had an argument with your significant other. Special editions will come with another button to dim the lights and play romantic music.

Hotels already do use beds that can be split into a pair of twins. I'm not sure that adding a conveyor belt is going to help anybody. |

Already been done. We found this setup in a Dutch hotel. One bed was stationary, the other slid on a pair of tracks recessed into the floor. All it lacked was a brake--the gap widened with vigorous movement of the occupants. |
