When a mere SUV is not enough. Built on a pickup truck chassis, the SST is a street legal, scaled down tractor and trailer. A not so big rig that delivers the macho style that the "station wagon on steroids" SUVs can only aspire to. Fully detailed down to the big grill, vertical exhaust pipes and chrome fuel tanks.

A company actually tried to sell a converted full size Ford tractor truck as the ultimate SUV, but it was way too big. The SST is a more manageable size but with more cargo capacity than anything else on the road with its articulated trailer. Doesn't require a special license either.

An entire industry could be built around the customization and accessorizing of these Demi Semis.

Just think of the better gas mileage you'd get from a diesel powered "mini-semi"!

I'd give you a roll for poking fun at people but I'm afraid someone might actually do this.

       Me want SST!

       Me want it NOW!

Yeah, dude. I want really loud engine braking as well. That beast-like sucking/popping sound scares the crap out of weak-ass gas engined SUV drivers. The exaust pipes could be tall enough to clear the roof of regular sized cars, but pump fumes directly in the windows of Escalades, Hummers, etc..

This was "baked" back in the '70s, with a fiberglass kit that changed a Ford, Chevy/GMC, or Dodge pickup into a Kenworth or Peterbilt clone, in about 1/2 scale.
