Semi-Permanent Tattoos

Water transfer tattoos in skin dye

Something slightly more permanent than regular water transfers, but without any pain or risk of infection or visits to the wrong side of the tracks.

Water transfer "tattoos", the kind they sell to kids, last up to a week, depending on how frequently and scrupulously you bathe that particular portion of your anatomy. If we substitute the FDA-approved dyes of the transfer for a more permant skin dye, we could have the colors sink into the skin for something that might last several weeks, even with vigorous scrubbing.

You mean like henna, only in a large variety of colours?

       Permenant markers and a stencil.

(Incidentally, I know a gentleman who has the "L O V E" tattooed on the fingers of his right hand, and "H A" on his left.)

I want to say something similar exists, but I am not sure.

no, no, no, Dr.C. The beauty of temporary tattoos is that when they wash off in the surf, the spoiled brats cry until their parents pay me to paint them on again.

I did the 'reverse tatoo thing' early this summer before my trip to Siberia. Made a little cross out of black electrical tape, and stuck it to my chest. A few hours of sun later, I had a nice little white cross on my chest. Still there. A post on the œbakery was responsible for giving me the inspiration...
