It might be better to just get another gerbil.

For deaf, blind and half bald people who have no idea what a fidget cube is, or anyone who does not have access to an English dictionary. (I myself need a self-explaining fidget cube in order to understand what it is)

As the fate of Eva Braun demonstrated, never let a woman be half bald.

Consider the average academic presentation and the amount of focus that it demands as a function evaluated at any point of the presentation. If you graphed the function over the course of the presentation, you'd probably end up with a landscape that featured multiple peaks and valleys.

I think that the idea behind the fidget cube is to provide supplemental stimulation in order to fill in the valleys so that the brain doesn't sputter and tune out. It's sort of like revving your engine at a stop light on a cold day.
