I don't know about you, but I hate cleaning the shower. Every morning after my shower I stand there waiting for the water to drain, then I have to remove the hair out of the drain, rinse the base of soap/shampoo/conditioner scum and shaved hair. It's time consuming and icky. So I thought how nice
it would be if there was a self-cleaning shower/bath. This is how it would work: There would be two types of jets, the ones that spray normal water for showering (if you're inclined to having them), and the ones used for cleaning the tub afterwards. The cleaning jets would be placed halfway down the walls of the tub. They would spray a mix of cleaning agents such as Shower Power(TM) (to remove the scum and prevent mildew) and Liquid PLUMR(TM) (to dissolve the hairs left behind). The jets would have high water pressure and move up, down, side to side in order to give the tub a thorough cleaning. Voila, a clean shower without the fuss.

Huh, that's weird [bwv]...when I researched Liquid Plumr sources said that it was gentle enough to use regularly for any pipe. But experience is the voice of reason, so your friend might be right. |

Just make sure that the controls force mutual exclusivity of sprayings, and that the 'cleaning' button is quite out of reach of normal shower-operating position. Otherwise, +. |

I'm kind of concerned with the environmental implications of following every shower with a flush through of chemicals. Never mind what it would do to the drains. Too attractive an idea to bone though. |
