Sea level rising, blame Hydronium

While we arguing about something else, namely that mountains are getting shorter due to sea level rises, I had a notion that there may be an alternative explanation.

I believe that water is getting lighter, and that is why the sea-levels are going up.

The most obvious culprit is Hydronium . H3O is the chemical composition, and with one extra hydrogen to help hold up that relatively heavy oxygen atom, the water will be lighter and so rise.

As to why there is so much Hydronium these days is difficult to explain. Personally I put it down to ozone layer depletion, with the UV rays helping to create more H3O, or penguins, who have seized their opportunity to expand their territories by decreasing ours.

I think a mass cull of those sneaky little buggers, and putting lots of sunblock over Antarctica should do the trick.

NMRM Co, bespoke pseudo-science at very reasonable prices.

It's not penguins that are to blame - it's seals and their malevolent acts. I've heard many people say that seal evils are rising.

       What is a penquin?

When water gets warmer, it expands slightly. If you apply "slightly" to miles-deep of warmer ocean water, it adds some centimeters of overall height (from ocean floor).

Isn't that one of the Three Wise Mongeese ... ?

If a seal acquires an electric charge, does it become a seal ion ... ?

No. But when it loses the charge it becomes an onion.

Aha, if we pour H202 into the seas around Antarctica...it should balance out the light-weight water, and there will be many blonde penguins. Ha,ha,ha... who's laughing now Mr Penguin?

So if you aren't, who IS R.M. Morrison?

Probably why large sections of society are acclimatizing to breath water.
