Every year someone gets me a lottery scratch card for Christmas. These are good fun apart from the general unsuitability of just about every metal object used to scratch off the silverised coating that conceals the hidden graphics/numbers etc. Along with that there is the resulting nuisance dust to contend
with.
The solution to these pernicious irritations is to acquire one of my new Scratch & Suck Lottery Pens.
This is a simple device consisting of a comfortable pen shaft that terminates in a metal edged tip perfectly engineered to be the ultimate "scratch card scratcher-off" instrument. Complimenting the scratcher is a tiny battery powered internal vacuum cleaner which sucks up all of the pesky dust as the pen scrapes across the surface of the card.
In the event of a big life changing result, the dust can be (annoyingly) exhibited along with the winning card.

The scratcher must be pretty good to be worthy of complimenting |

High praise from components is always complimentary to all successful devices. |

It doesn't need much suck, so surely a squeezable bladder and one way valve would suffice? The sof pen grip might give enough squeezability. |

Maybe just have little sponges on either side that you wet. Or a sponge on one side where you just tilt it and swipe after you've wasted 20 bucks and five minutes of your life. [+] anyway. |

Finally, an item suitable for the Bingo-dabber crowd! |

Extra [+] for "Steampunk" added to my version. |
