Traveling by plane is such a chore. Once you get to your destination, you have to take a taxi or rent a car, and you're pretty much at the mercy of others.
What I propose is a practical scooter, like a vespa or honda elite, which transforms into a piece of luggage which you can take on a plane.
I think this would be acheivable in a 75lb or lighter package witha small gas engine, some clever design, and light weight materials.
Mazda came out with a suitcase car a about 12 years ago, but that doesn't seem as practical as a scooter.

You know how hard it is to get gas on a plane? |
Not very...Just drill into the wing tank...the scooter's repair kit just might include a drill. |
Actually, airplane food always gives me gas. |
Make the scooter electric and gas is not a problem. |

I would buy one of these. Gas wouldn't be a problem. The manufacturing company could offer (as part of the customer care detp) a small "gas station" exclusively for clients. |

Motorised scooters on a plane are a problem as gas/petrol scooters are not allowed for obvoius reasons. Electric scooters have batteries which generally are not allowed. So it leaves human powered scooters.
Most human powered kick scooters do not carry any luggage, which you would have about 10 - 30 Kg ,depending on the airline luggage allowance.
The solution would be to use a kickscooter which takes the extra weight of luggage, that is 100 - 130 kg including the rider, it also needs to fold and have pneumatic tyres. You can do about 3 times the distance compared to walking and 3 times faster with the same energy used. Having a folding non-motorised scooter you can take it to a bus or a train as well. |

Hooray for folding scooters! |
Or you could get a folding sail scooter, and do without some of the kicking... |
But it seems to me that if you want to do without human power, compressed air is likely to be the way to go. Most airports probably won't allow that either, but at least you can fill it at a gas station for less than the cost of gasoline. |
