It's really hot at night here, so here's a bed
which gently turns you all night, keeping
you cool. I've been meaning to do a
drawing of this for days but am unlikely to
have time to do it this week so am posting
it without the drawing.
The bed
is basically two large rollers with a
continuous sheet wrapped around them.
You lie in the dip between the two rollers
and as the rollers slowly turn through the
night you roll in the opposite direction as
you continuously roll back down into the
dip.
For additional coolness
there could be a upwards-blowing fan
beneath the sheet.

I swear there was a similar idea here a while back. It was a cylindrical bed that rotated as you slept in it, thus rolling you over... can't find it though. |

or get a hammock. i think this idea would be better for bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers, but have the rollers reverse directions so you're not flopping over on your face but merely rotating side to side. (+) |

This just seems all bad, landing on your face, keeping you awake, contorting limbs and suffocating malfunctions... a silent, comfortable, predictable bed is a horrible thing to waste. |
