The word "How?" springs to mind at this point.

Roof Pixels Tile Company will make a set of custom glazed tiles unique for your roof. Here's how to get them:

1 Measure the dimensions of the roof of your house (idea works best on traditional sloping roofs)

2 Send this along with a scanned image of any particular image you like - it could be that of a face, landscape, abstract pattern, or you could choose one from our extensive portfolio.

3 Select the tile shape you want from our range.

4 Use our convenient on-line reckoner to work out the price. Input all of this, along with your payment details, and wait for a few weeks.

The Roof Pixels Tile Company will use a customised Photoshop filter to fragment your image. We will then spread the image across a set of roof tile shapes; individually fire and glaze each tile, numbering them on the back for error-free placement.

Specially trained roofers can install the arrangement for you, or you can do it yourself, by following the numbered diagram.

Break a tile? No problem, install one of the enclosed generic blanks while you wait for us to send a perfect replacement.

I've been spending some time reviewing LCD manufacturers specifications regarding allowable pixel defect classes and quantities - do you have a spec sheet available, or are you conforming to the ISO standard?

Erm, there was something vaguely similar, but home-made...see link

Now I've thought about this I like the concept but I'd prefer tile-sized display screens so I could change the image in the same way I change my desktop. See link. A message-scroll option also appeals.
