This lightweight, wash-and-wear fall jacket and matching gloves have a few extra tricks up their sleeves. Equipped with adjustable length flexible nylon 'bones' and ergonomically-correct motorized joints at the fingers, wrists, elbows, and shoulders, the jacket and matching gloves are controlled by
a phrase-recognition system which interprets spoken language into the appropriate sign language arm and hand movements. The jacket may also be used as a passive sign translation system; a hearing-impaired wearer inputs basic sign language movement, and the jacket outputs human speech in the selected language.
All electronics are removable via velcro straps, as is the superstructure.
Also good for teaching 'correct' sports technique in a number of programmed sports.

I don't understand the first bit -- is the jacket moving the wearer to sign what the jacket hears? |

Just be sure to take it off before getting in the car and turning the radio on. |
