To better utilise the space in your home you have two houses in one.

Your nighttime furniture (TV, beds, lamps, dinner table etc) are mounted on the 'ceiling', and your daytime furniture (breakfast bar, wardrobe, desk [if you work from home] etc)are mounted to the other 'ceiling'.

Ceilings need to be around 5m or 16ft. When night falls you just put away what you are doing, step outside, press the button and Presto!, the house revolves 180deg and you walk back inside. Of course, the systems drains all of the water from the toilet in the process, and refrigerators need to be redesigned for this to work.

Houses could occupy half their current 'footprint', reducing the destruction of valuable farming land.

We'll all learn to be neat freaks in no time.

Other than confusing the goldfish, this is a faultless idea.

This would be a great way to clean out your gutters.

I'm disappointed there's no attempt at living inside the walls.

Finding your way to the bath down the mobius-strip hallway could be challenging. "No no, you went the wrong direction, just keep walking, it'll be on your left, and stand on your head when you get there..."

[+] A good idea. They are also making expandable furniture to accomodate smaller places. [see link]

Hears distant "meows" as kitty is stuck back in day mode, behind the wall. Ouch.

Simply mount all plumbing related rooms in a fixed position along the spin access (or at the extremes as the bearing for smaller construction), with the rest of the house mounted around it.

This also has the advantage of allowing you to stay in those rooms during the flip, eliminating the need to have a ground level door at night, both saving space and increasing security.

Some elasticised straps in your wardrobe will prevent suits being messed up during the flip.
