I have seen these for vehicular use, but never portable:
imagine an mp3 player... very good!... with no internal memory, just a usb port so that a standard USB flash drive could be used. This would solve various portability issues I've been having, and probably make for some interesting multimedia
spinoff trinkets. Buy your favorite new album on USB? That's been done, but you get the idea. See the link for a car-oriented version with built-in FM modulator.

I'm confused. Apple's MP3 players *are* USB drives. |

But in an iPod, or similar, the drive is not seperatable from the player (with the firmware); they are one unit. That's what I'm proposing. Look at the "car version" link for clarification. |
