My goal is not not just to drudge up and old idea, I rather think I
over shot my mark, by just a little, and that I may have been better
off stopping at a regular old sex trombone.
In the linked idea I describe an incident during which I was shown
that a vacuum cleaner tube can be used along
with a fleshy "reed" to
create an instrument with a farty-trombone-like sound and a
theremin-like pitch changing capability. It has been long enough that
I don't remember what the guy was doing exactly to change the
pitch, yes it really was an other guy and not me, but he was
probably just pulling in and out of the tube a little, but I do
remember that the vibrating back and forth of the "fleshy reed" was
what was making the sound.
So, rather than go into the whole plant-people, Borg-like thing,
maybe I should have first paused at an instrument that simply
replicated this sound.
So this regular old sex trombone would be a vacuum cleaner tube
with an artificial fleshy "reed" that can be controlled by the player
to precisely hit pitches and tones.

I like this best as the chorus. The lyrics would be
barely comprehensible and rambling about schemes
and strange situations, much like the linked original. |
