Red Hurt Spot

this is a Velcro like red patch about a 10 - 12" diameter that sticks to clothing

you stick it to the outside of your clothing where you have an ache or a pain.

the device serves three purposes

1. lets people know that you are having a problem and dealing with some pain

2. let's people focus positive energy on your area of pain

3. ready fashion statement

smaller band aid versions for bear arms or visible skin but larger than band aids, large enough to be conspicuous

this idea might encourage strangers to kiss the boo boo too

based on that alone it should bunned en=mass

This might find a market in retirement and nursing homes.

Hypochondriacs might like the alternative product: the "White non-hurt spot" for sticking on the place where it doesn't hurt.

       How non-survivalist.

I will bun this idea, however. If others make publicly aware their weaknesses, then my survivability rate will increase by abstaining from your survival - of - the - weakest - through - the - kindness - of - others crap.

Actually, on first read, this idea sounds pretty darn good to me

Especially reason #2. Healing energy is a scientific fact, and to have as many people as possible sending you positive energy, for healing purposes especially, is a great thing.

Maybe not a red patch, maybe an "ouch" patch?
blissmiss, Jan 06 2010

I am for it because of the fabulous profits it would produce. Also I understand this should be bunned-en-masse and I want to do my part.

       //Healing energy is a scientific fact//

If this statement is true; then it's opposite should be, as well.

Are you really gambling on humanity being more good than evil?

Got to go with MikeD here, when placed under double blind conditions the effect disappears. No double blind study has ever shown a measurable effect from positive thinking. However my PseudoCo medical spirit fetishes do work wonders. Simply place the dry poultice of imbued spiritually importuned clay over the injured area. The relief is immediate.

What is the opposite of "Healing energy"? If you mean do I think more people would try and transmit positive energy to that hurt spot, more often times then negative energy, than, yes...I guess I do.
blissmiss, Jan 07 2010

bliss, I think it depends on the person.. some attract love, and others.. not so much.

In any case, it should not be red. Red says "Kick Me - I'm stupid". Red is the color of anger and aggression. If you want a bull to gore you in the crotch, wave a red flag.
afinehowdoyoudo, Jan 07 2010

Your advise is sage, as always, but I don't have a crotch. I don't think I do, at least...

       would you like one ?
