A new design, not an invention. I'm a little surprised that this hasn't been done yet, in either the 'Bakery or the real world as far as I can tell from a search.

Perhaps there is a problem in colouring the styrofoam beads? If so, then small brightly coloured beads of plastic or craft tube beads will give the same visual effect, but at the cost of making the bag heavy and expensive.

       See no particular issues making this, but it doesn't seem like much of a half-baked idea, either.   

       Unless maybe you made the beans look like Smarties/M&Ms. Or has that been done?
