The United Nations wants a $1.3 billion interest-free loan from the U.S. for renovations. Many in the U.S. want to rebuild the World Trade Center taller than before as a symbol of resolve against terrorism. Why not combine the two ideas? Build the new World Trade Center a bit taller than before, and
use the top 30 floors or so for the United Nations.
Not only would this give the United Nations thoroughly-modern facilities, it would solve the problem of renting the higher floors to nervous businesses. It would also concentrate the minds of the world's diplomats on the problems of international terrorism. Just a single peek outside the window would offer not just a breath-taking view, but an incentive to make the world a safer place.
Current UN Quarters

And paint a bulls-eye on the building while you're at it. |

Can you think of a more tempting or accessable target? Why not put Congress and the presidential offices in the other tower? And a glideslope and VASI to the middle floors? |

Perhaps it's safer to consider a bunkered location far removed from the city and where no legitimate civilian flights, ships or vehicles should be approaching. |

You forgot an NDB approach. |

If I were a diplomat to the UN, I'd be nervous whenever the Jihadistan representatives were absent. |

Then again, I'd be nervous when they were present. |

|
Fuck it. I don't ever want to be a diplomat. |

Putting the UN on top of a monument to money? Just seems wrong somehow. Also [Guncrazy], considering your name I think you'd make a fine diplomat, or at least an efficient one. |
