Punbox is an alternate inbox organizer that sorts your unread email not by time received or even by size, but by your ability to respond with a witty pun. This email account add-on analyzes the subject and body of each new email and applies a topic modelling algorithm to provide you with a corpus of semantically related words -- your pun fodder. It doesn't write the puns for you; it just suggests candidate words from which you can write your own. Emails in the Punbox are sorted according to the concentration of topics in the email, single-topic (focused) emails at the top, and multi-topic (scattered) emails at the bottom. Once you have responded to an email, it is removed from the Punbox, eliminating the chance that your pun response arrives flat, 6 weeks late.

From Reddit user Watch_Closely: “It’s hard to explain puns to kleptomaniacs because they always take things literally.”
