Simple as this: A snooze that will sound at intervals pre-set by me--for example, 15 minutes for first round of snoozing, then 10 minutes, then 5 minutes, then every minute after that. Or whatever I choose.

Great idea, especially if you can combine it with:
Being able to set the radio alarm clock to play radio 4 on a low volume (very sopirific, especially when it gets to the shipping weather forecast) when I'm going to sleep, but then switch to some generic commercial radio station playing very irritating pop music at a high volume for when I want to wake up. |

I agree vince, but your choices wouldn't work for me. For a start, the shipping forecast really turns me on (but not enough to wear me out and send me to sleep), and if I wake up to irritating pop music, I switch it off, not switch to snooze. I'd like a snooze button that is sited at multiple random places in the room, so every time I want to go back to sleep, I'd have to run round the room finding whether it was the door handle or the curtain cord or the light switch or the touchsensitive bit of the window pane. |

This is not only entirely feasible, but an idea that would have a positive impact on my daily life.
Prokofiev's "Dance of the Knights" could kick in after an hour for the really stubborn. |
