Procrastination Preventing Layout

for halfbakery addicts
  (+3)
(+3)
  [vote for,
against]

On your first visit to Halfbakery per day, the interface and layout should be perfect (just like now!)

But by the time you come here for the 10th time in one hour, there should be some things very wrong, and very annoying, about the layout, to discourage you from wasting any more time here.

Every time you visit the halfbakery (this is for your own good, guys! You should be doing your work, not goofing off; I love this site, but halfbakery addiction is not a healthy thing!) -- Where was I? Yes, every time you visit the halfbakery, without at least a 2-hour break since you were last here, the display gets worse and worse.

Typos start appearing; some annotations become invisible, the margins and framing start to become distorted, pop-up ads start to appear (first the plain ones, and then those jiggly ones that send you running for the STOP button). Soon you lose the ability to see the vote tally or add any more annotations, and links are disabled. Finally, the halfbakery is ripped from your fingers by directing your browser to an Internet Addiction treatment web page, and deleting from your Favorites folder any links to halfbakery addresses.

If I start being productive now, management will realize I've been slacking for the past 5 years. Nono, much better to just keep slacking...

Or, you just get to view only so many per day.

       Multiple accounts will abound.

Cedar Park, Jul 25 2003

Multiple accounts ? Oh god you mean it's just me and one other paranoid schizophrenic nerd that really uses this site. Oh no Oh no Oh no, I knew it.

Worse, it's just you and you and you.

Last time (2 days ago) it did that, hard drive went kaput seconds later.

Addiction to single site is not good, you may need to have multiple site where you get addicted too.., thus , you get more knowledge and can transfer more ideas

I would give you a bun, but I can't find the link

"Help, I am so addicted and have so little self-discipline that I can't address it and need the halfbakery to solve my problem for me." No.

Though the halfbakery is my homepage, I have 6 other sites which, if I'm online, I visit twice daily and another 40+ on favo(u)rites list which each get visited weekly. So there.

       You have an extra one?
