Given the aversion of airport security staff to liquids,
perhaps the purveyors of popular shampoos, deodorants
and drinks could market a "travel range", consisting of
only
the solid ingredients in powder form.
Upon arrival at your preferred destination (or New
Jersey),
simply add water
to the level marked on the container
and
- gadulka! - instant whatever!
This will not work for ingredients which are inherently
and
irrepressibly liquid, such as the ethanol in alcoholic
beverages. However, the ethanol component of a bottle
of
wine or beer will be comfortably under 100ml, allowing
it
to be transported legally.
[some time later]
But wait! It appears that your friend and mine, ethanol,
can be bound by cyclodextrins to produce a dry powder!
When dissolved in water, the powder releases the
ethanol, to yield an alcoholic drink.

Nice idea - I'd have to see powdered champagne work before I was totally convinced though |

*Instant whatever* is what I always say. |

The manufacturers would hate this, as it would show consumers just how much of the product they're paying for is "Aqua" ... |
