I thought of this while trying to completely enclose my steering wheel with a cover that slips on and off. i wanted to make it my permanent one by sewing it up on the inside but to do that id have to bust out the needle and thread and sew over 300 stitches, whereas if i had a portable sewing machine,
about the size of an office stapler. well, the job would just be simpler....
So baked!

Didn't Ronco or one of those other cheap kitschy product companies come out with one of these a looooonnnnngggg time ago? |
|
|
I saw one on TV as a kid, and it did look a lot like a stapler. Would have sworn it was Ronco, but it's not on their page... |

[StarChaser] That's my recollection as well. In fact, the Emson device pretty much fits that description so I have to wonder if I just got the manufacturer confused or Emson bought the rights to the product. |

That's the bunny. Does say 'as seen on TV', so maybe we were both just 'Goofy product on annoying commercial, must be Ronco'. |

Ever see the plastic tab button attacher thing? |

<later> <Thpth's at Angel for the link.> <grin>
Not the one I was thinking of, it was blue, pistol shaped and belt fed, but the same type of thing. Gotta remember, it was twenty years ago when I saw it last...— | StarChaser,

I do remember it. The 'Buttoneer', I think it was called. |
|
|
Remember the rhinestone riveter? Don't remember what it was called. |

As Shrinky-Dinks have made a comeback, one wonders if these will, too... |

six years later, yes. but mega-baked in any which-way possible. and [phoenix] it's called the bedazzler. unfortunately, it's already been invented. |
