I was eating popcorn the other day when I noticed that the popcorn was sometimes shaped in ways that made them look like certain objects. So I thought about it and came up with the idea that if we strengthened and weakened the popcorn shell in strategic places, we could make the popcorn pop to creat
miniature sculptures.
Or if you want something larger scale, get a bunch of popcorn kernels stuck together in various places so that when you pop it, it becomes a larger sculpture still made of popcorn.
Note*: The below link consists of sticking kernels in a mold. That idea is different from mine. Mine is about weakening and strengthening the hull to make it pop into special shapes. The multiple popcorn kernels stuck together is also different. There is no mold, and again, the shell have been weakened and strengthened to make it pop in certain ways.

I was hoping this would be a lot more like Chia-pet, only with popcorn instead. You get a ceramic hedgehog with popcorn kernels stuck all over it, toss it in the microwave, and watch its hair grow

As for the idea, I would definitely like it. Im not sure your suggestion of weakening the shell in strategic places is going to do it make it happen, but heres a fox-shaped bun for you anyhow |

Once saw a zen film of a popcorn exploding, slowed down, in close-up. Close-up was REALLY close, the screen was filled by a quarter of the kernel - you only realised what it was half way through. Time was REALLY slow too, a five minute film and at least a minute of it was the pop. Love to see the camera they used! |

Different idea. That one involves a mold. This one involves popcorn stuck together with the shells weakened in certain areas to make it pop in certain ways. Or individual kernels weakened in certain ways to pop into special shapes. |
