Pinecone Symphony

Hold a pinecone really gently and your interface with it can become a dance where you hear the quiet pinecone crackely sound interface with the background noise and connect that sound with the feeling of gently moving in natural body rhthms.

You could record this crackely sound and then slow it down to the point where the high pitches of each crackel are reduced to human voice range and then optimized for human hearing. It might sound like one of those youtube videos of glass breaking in slow motion. it sounds like a beautiful aeleatoric marimba symphony.

Since there is math in the pinecone spirals you might hear when you slow it down and elongate the notes that the rhythms of your skin interfacing with the fronds of the pincone has a mathematical music to it.

Actually wow it sounds terrible

Annotation:

Is this one of those pinecones that shoots its seeds out with enough force to give somebody a good smack upside the head ?

You know what? I bet every individual... (hold on I have to look up the word)... pinecone scale has a slightly different tone, and that a device could be contrived allowing a person to use one to play music.

       So (+) Gnarfle the Garthog!
