If you have a pet, you have been where I was recently. You think your pet may have a bladder or urinary tract infection, so you follow said pet around for a couple of days trying to catch a urine sample to take to the veterinarian. (For me, it was a cup on a stick). However; every time you try to catch
the sample, the pet moves away. My idea is a receptacle that you can strap to the part that pees that will catch the sample so that your pet will not have to endure a catheter as mine did. That way, you won't look like some sort of pervo following a small animal around with a cup on a stick trying to get it's urine.

Anything else would have a litter box, making pee collection straightforward. (Unless it's a lama or something, of course, but I don't think they're easy to frighten.) |

We use U-bags (see link above) at work to get urine specimins from babies- i guess the pet (if hairy) would need shaving around the 'equipment' to get the bag to stick, but it works pretty well on recalcitrant infants. |

-DrCurry- Now that I think of it, I wish I had taken pics. It had to be pretty funny-looking. The pet in question is a VERY spoiled toy poodle and as it turns out, she has a mass in her bladder and will have to have surgery to remove it. -spidermother- I don't own a horse, but I think that (link) should be classified as cruelty to animals. -The Kat- If you knew me, you would see why this was quite an experience for me, being that I am one of those Diva types that leaves for work at 7:00 a.m. with full makeup and not a hair out of place. Nails manicured every six weeks without fail and the poodle gets groomed on the same schedule. She even gets her nails painted. She also has a wardrobe. Go ahead, I even used to make fun of people like me. :-) |
