It’s a computer program where you take a video of you flipping the pages of a book flip book animation style and input a message such as a holiday or birthday greeting.

The computer inputs all the words and when you input a message, it highlights those words when they appear in the book in sequence slowing down when each word is reached.

Okay I described that really badly but I’m tired. I’ll try to clarify it tomorrow.

Upon waking up realized you could just use an actual hotliner in the book and try to hotline words that repeat several times and just flip it to the person you're giving the message to. Would ruin the book of course but might be an interesting project.

You worded it well. I dig it. Many adaptations.

       "if ... {flick, flick} ... you ... {flick, flick} ... can ... {flick, flick} ... read ... {flick, flick} ... this ... {flick, flick} ... secret ... {flick, flick} ... message ... {flick, flick} ... you ... {flick, flick} ... will ... {flick, flick} ... soon ... {flick, flick} ... die"

You know, hate to say it, but I could see somebody vandalizing books with this which would be horrible enough that maybe I should take this down. Political messages attacking the books themselves for instance. "This is propaganda for the _____"

Books need to be sacrosanct. Anybody doing this in a public library FOR ANY REASON would really need to be prosecuted.

Yea, think I'm gonna take this down.

[doc] DON’T TAKE IT DOWN! Let Kindle know about it and they’ll sell the greeting for $29.95 in whatever book your loved one is reading. Get royalties on the idea. The more invasive the better. Terrible, evil messages cost a lot more…

If this shows up in anything I’m reading I’m coming after you, doc.

Yea, okay, probably giving myself too much credit for being able to change things. I'll leave it up.

Good idea minor, maybe you could wear glasses that showed words, even animations that fit in with the story eh?

Second concern though, are books even a thing anymore?

       Okay, I'm overthinking this.

Guy gets a text from work with a link to an attached AVI file.

Oh, he thinks, that's me reading from a corporate memo. Some words on the memo glow. The memo is short.

He reads (spoiler alert): You're fired!
